Monestir de Poblet

The Royal Monastery of Santa María de Poblet is one of the largest Cistercian monasteries in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is located in the Cuenca de Barberá region, less than 1 hour from PortAventura.
Poblet Monastery was sponsored by Ramón Berenguer IV, Count of Barcelona, who handed it over to the Bernardine monks of the Fontfroide Abbey in 1149. It was the royal pantheon of the Crown of Aragon from the end of the 14th century until the extinction of the royal house of Aragon in the 15th century. It has been remarkably preserved and restored and is currently a working monastery.
This option includes transportation to and from the monastery along with a guided tour on Wednesday, June 7, after lunch. The excursion will last approximately 4 hours.
