Véronique Balland completed her PhD degree in Bioinorganic Chemistry at the University Paris Sud in 2002. After two years as a post-doc at the Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique (CEA), she joined the Laboratory of Molecular Electrochemistry at the University Paris Cité as an associate professor in 2004, and full professor since 2022. Her current scientific interests concern the investigation of electron transfer and charge transport/storage in mesoporous semiconductive metal oxide electrodes, and the development of rechargeable proton batteries.
